If you want to know what Roblox holds about your account, the first thing to know is that there is no button. Roblox's Privacy and Cookie Policy describes a request process, not a self-serve export, and the route it names is the ordinary support form.
Everything below is taken from that policy, read on September 22, 2026. Roblox can change the process, and the policy is the thing to check rather than this page if the two ever disagree.
The route Roblox documents
The policy gives one electronic route for questions or requests about your personal information:
> You can reach Roblox electronically by submitting a question through our Customer Support Form. If you're under 13 years old, please have your parent or guardian fill out the form.
That form is the support request page on Roblox's help site. The under-13 instruction is not optional advice — it is how the policy is written, and a request from a young account is likely to be answered more slowly, or not at all, if a parent or guardian has not made it.
There is no article in the help centre describing a self-serve data download, and the policy does not mention one. If you have seen a claim that Roblox has a Download My Data button, it is worth checking against the policy before acting on it.
The contact depends on where you live
This is the part most guides skip, and it is the part that determines whether a request reaches the right desk. The policy lists separate contacts by region.
United States

The policy also notes that in the United States additional rules may apply depending on which state you live in, and points to its own region-specific section for what those are.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom or Switzerland

The policy names the representatives directly. In the EEA it is DP-Dock GmbH, Attn: Roblox Corporation, Ballindamm 39 / Ecke Jungfernstieg, 20095 Hamburg, Germany. In the UK it is DP Data Protection Services UK Ltd., Attn: Roblox Corporation, 16 Great Queen Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5AH, United Kingdom.

Korea
The policy points to a separate Privacy Policy Addendum for Users in the Republic of Korea rather than listing a contact inline.
What you can actually ask for
If you are in the European Economic Area, the policy sets out the rights you may be entitled to exercise, and the first of them is the one that matters for a data request. In Roblox's own wording, you may request:
> (i) information whether your Personal Information is retained and (ii) access to or duplicates of your Personal Information retained, including the purposes of the processing, the categories of Personal Information concerned, and the data recipients as well as potential retention periods
The same section lists the others: rectification, removal or restriction where the information is incomplete, inaccurate, no longer needed, or where consent has been withdrawn; withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing that already happened; and objection to processing based on legitimate interests, where you are asked to explain your particular situation and Roblox will either stop or set out its grounds for continuing.
Those are described as rights for EEA users specifically. If you are elsewhere, what you can ask for depends on your own jurisdiction, and the policy's region-specific section is where it says so.
What to put in the request
The policy does not prescribe a format, so this part is practical advice rather than a quotation. A request that gets answered usually contains:
- The username of the account, spelled exactly. Not the display name — those can differ, and support works from the username.
- The email address on the account, sent from that same address where possible.
- What you are asking for, in one sentence: a copy of the personal information held about the account.
- Where you live, because that determines which rules apply and which desk should handle it.
- If the account holder is under 13, a note that you are the parent or guardian making the request on their behalf.
Do not include your password. No legitimate Roblox process asks for it, and a support request is not an exception.
What happens to data when you delete an account
Worth knowing before you decide a deletion request is simpler than a data request. The policy says that when you delete your account, Roblox initiates permanent deletion of data in its systems — but with a documented exception:
> For safety and security purposes (e.g., bot prevention), Roblox may process persistent identifiers for up to two years after account deletion.
So deletion is not instantaneous and is not total in the way people often assume. If your goal is to see what is held, request the data first; deleting the account first removes your own access to it.
What this guide does not tell you
How long a request takes. The policy sets out the rights and the contacts, not a response time. Statutory deadlines may apply depending on where you live, and those come from your jurisdiction rather than from Roblox.
What the file looks like. Because there is no documented self-serve export, there is no documented format either. What arrives, and in what shape, is not something the policy describes.
Whether a third-party tool can do it for you. Nothing on this site calls a Roblox API for account data, and no tool that is not Roblox can retrieve your personal information from Roblox. Anything advertising otherwise is asking for your credentials, which is the oldest shape of Roblox scam there is.
