You can ask Roblox for a copy of the personal information it holds about your account from your own settings. Roblox calls the file a Right to Access Report, and the setting that asks for it is Request Account Data.
Correction, October 6, 2026: earlier versions of this guide said Roblox has no self-serve way to request your data, named the support form as the route, and said that deleting your account first removes your access to the data. That was wrong. Roblox's help article Right to Access Reports documents a Request Account Data option in your privacy settings, and says you can still request a copy after asking for your account to be deleted. The sections below now describe that route, and the support form and Roblox's regional privacy contacts stay as the other ways in.
The steps below are taken from that article, and the contacts and rights further down from Roblox's Privacy and Cookie Policy, both read on October 6, 2026. Roblox can change either, and its own pages are the thing to check rather than this one if the two ever disagree.
Request the report from your settings
Roblox's help article gives the route:
- Log in to your Roblox account.
- Go to your Roblox privacy settings.
- Under Account data, deactivation & deletion, select the Request option for Request Account Data.
Roblox then processes the request and prepares the report. Your account must have a verified email address, and Roblox says it may verify your identity before preparing the report, to protect your information. If you cannot make the request this way, the article's instruction is to contact Roblox through the support form.
The same section of settings also holds the options to deactivate or delete the account, so check which one you are selecting.
Where the report arrives
When the report is ready, Roblox sends a message to your Roblox account's messages inbox and to the verified email address on the account. Follow the link to open the report.
The download link expires 7 days after it is sent. After that, Roblox says you will need to submit a new request if you still need the data.
What the report covers
Roblox describes the report as a file you can request under data privacy laws, holding the personal information it has collected and linked to your account, "such as account details, login history, and payment history". The article sets three limits on it:
- No date range. You cannot choose a time period. Roblox provides the personal information and data it associates with the account.
- Only your own information. The report does not include other users' personal information.
- Some data may be missing. If something you expected is not there, Roblox says it may no longer be processing that data, or the data may have been deleted from its systems.
If you have questions about what is in your report, the article says to contact Roblox.
If you cannot use the settings option
The article's fallback is the support form, and the policy names the same form for any question or request about your personal information: "You can reach Roblox electronically by submitting a question through our Customer Support Form. If you're under 13 years old, please have your parent or guardian fill out the form."
The Right to Access article does not say whether the settings option works on accounts under 13. For the form, the policy's instruction is that a parent or guardian fills it in for a child under 13.

The policy also lists separate privacy contacts by region.

The policy also notes that in the United States additional rules may apply depending on the state you live in, and points to its US State Privacy Policy Addendum for the rights available under state laws.

The policy names the representatives directly. In the EEA it is DP-Dock GmbH, Attn: Roblox Corporation, Ballindamm 39 / Ecke Jungfernstieg, 20095 Hamburg, Germany. In the UK it is DP Data Protection Services UK Ltd., Attn: Roblox Corporation, 16 Great Queen Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5AH, United Kingdom.

The policy points to a separate Privacy Policy Addendum for Users in the Republic of Korea rather than listing a contact inline.
What you can ask for in the EEA
If you are in the European Economic Area, the policy sets out the rights you may be entitled to exercise, and the first of them is the one that matters for a data request. In Roblox's own wording, you may request "(i) information whether your Personal Information is retained and (ii) access to or duplicates of your Personal Information retained, including the purposes of the processing, the categories of Personal Information concerned, and the data recipients as well as potential retention periods".
The same section lists the others: rectification, removal or restriction where the information is incomplete, inaccurate, no longer needed, or where consent has been withdrawn; withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing that already happened; objection to processing based on legitimate interests, where you are asked to explain your particular situation and Roblox will either stop or set out its grounds for continuing; objection to direct marketing at any time; and receiving the information you provided to Roblox in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, with the right to have it passed to another controller.
Those are described as rights for EEA users specifically. If you are elsewhere, what you can ask for depends on your own jurisdiction, and the policy's section on where you live, or the addendum it points to, is where it says so.
What to put in a request by form or email
If you use the support form or one of the contacts above instead of the settings option, the policy does not prescribe a format, so this part is practical advice rather than a quotation. It helps to include:
- The username of the account, spelled exactly, not the display name, which can differ from it.
- The email address on the account, sent from that same address where possible.
- What you are asking for, in one sentence: a copy of the personal information held about the account.
- Where you live, because that determines which rules apply and which contact handles it.
- If the account holder is under 13, a note that you are the parent or guardian making the request on their behalf.
Do not include your password. Roblox's account safety advice says its employees will never ask for it, and a support request is not an exception.
What happens to data when you delete an account
The policy says that when you delete your account, Roblox initiates permanent deletion of data in its systems, with a documented exception: "For safety and security purposes (e.g., bot prevention), Roblox may process persistent identifiers for up to two years after account deletion."
The Right to Access article adds that some data may still be stored for a period after you request deletion, where Roblox is required to keep records for tax, legal, or security purposes. So deletion is not instantaneous and is not total in the way people often assume.
A deletion request does not cut you off from a copy, either. In the article's words: "You can request a copy of your Right to Access Report even if you have requested deletion of your Roblox account through the Roblox support page."
What this guide does not tell you
How long the report takes. The help article says Roblox processes the request and prepares the report, and the policy sets out rights and contacts, but neither gives a time. Statutory deadlines may apply depending on where you live, and those come from your jurisdiction rather than from Roblox.
What format the file is in. The article describes what the report covers and how it reaches you, but not the file type or layout, so this guide does not either.
Whether a third-party tool can do it for you. Nothing on this site calls a Roblox API for account data, and no tool that is not Roblox can retrieve your personal information from Roblox. Anything advertising otherwise is asking for your credentials, which is the oldest shape of Roblox scam there is.
