Most cancel-a-subscription guides start with the steps. This one cannot, because since April 30, 2026 Roblox Premium is closed to new signups, and Roblox's support documentation confirms that members who cancel cannot resubscribe. Cancel today and the old stipend plan is gone from your account permanently - the only subscription you could buy afterward is Roblox Plus, which works on entirely different math. So before anything else, the checklist.
Before you cancel: the three-question pause
1. Are you sure the math says cancel? Premium's case now rests on the monthly Robux stipend (the 10 percent purchase bonus ended May 30, 2026). The honest test is whether you would buy that much Robux anyway - if yes, the stipend is cheaper than buying it, and canceling costs you money. 2. Do you trade? Premium is one of only two subscriptions that unlock trading limited items, and yours is the grandfathered one. Cancel and your trading access ends with the subscription; getting it back means paying for Roblox Plus instead.
3. Is this about a temporary money crunch? With most subscriptions the answer "cancel now, resubscribe later" is fine. With Premium there is no later. If the issue is one tight month, it is worth knowing what you are permanently giving up to save one fee.
One more thing that surprises people: a failed payment can end your subscription the same way canceling does. If your card expired or your balance bounced, Roblox may lapse the membership - and a lapsed legacy plan carries the same no-return problem. If you want to keep Premium, keep the payment method current; do not let a dead card make the decision for you.
How to cancel on the website
If you subscribed on roblox.com:
- Log in and open Settings (the gear icon).
- Go to the Subscriptions or Billing section.
- Select your Premium membership and choose Cancel Renewal.
- Follow the confirmation prompts until Roblox confirms the renewal is off.
Canceling turns off the renewal; your Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and any stipend already deposited is yours to keep and spend normally.
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play
Mobile subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not Roblox, so the cancel lives in their menus - Roblox's own settings cannot stop those charges:
- iPhone/iPad: Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, find Roblox Premium, and cancel there.
- Android: Google Play app, profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, find Roblox, and cancel.
If you cannot remember where you subscribed, check which account gets the monthly receipt email - that is the store holding the subscription.
What happens after you cancel
- Premium benefits run until the end of the current billing period, then stop.
- Robux from past stipends stays in your account; nothing already granted is taken away.
- Your items and inventory are untouched - but selling and trading limiteds stops working without an active Premium or Plus subscription.
- The Premium option disappears for you permanently. If you later want subscription perks or trading back, Roblox Plus is the only path, and its value depends on how much you spend rather than paying you a stipend.
For parents
If the subscription lives on a child's account, cancel through whichever store bills you (steps above), and treat the one-way door as part of the decision - a "we'll turn it back on for the holidays" plan does not work with a closed plan.
